Creating a Cover Page

We want you to utilize the ModSolar Platform to its fullest ability. So, today I am providing you with a tutorial on how to create a custom cover page!

Go to your Settings Page and click on Proposal Templates in the left hand navigation column. You can either edit a current Template and add a cover page or create a new Template.

Next, you’re going to insert a Rich Text Paragraph at the beginning of the solar proposal. For this example, we are going to create a cover page that includes the company logo, lead name, property address, property image and user information accompanied by their photo.

To begin, select the “Company Logo” from the “Insert data value” list,  and click the “Insert data value” button. Press enter a few times to give yourself some room for your company logo at the top of the page. Then, type “Proposal For:” and select the “lead first name” and “lead last name” from the “Insert data value” list and click the insert data value button. Make sure you have a space between these two values.

Press enter and below this section, insert the proposal property image by clicking the “Insert Image” button in the toolbar. If you don’t have a picture of the property, feel free to insert a clipart image of a home, commercial building or municipal building to easily identify the proposal property type. Underneath the image, select the “Lead Address”, “Lead City”, “Lead State” and “Lead Zip Code” using the “Insert data value” list and click the insert data value button. These values will provide the proposal property address.

Press enter a few times to give space below the property address and then click the right align button in the tool bar  . Here, we are going to insert the user information and photo. From the “Insert Data Value” list, select “User first name” and “User last name” and click the “Insert data value” button. Press enter and type the job title of the user. Next, press enter and insert the “User Office number”. Press enter again and insert the “User email address”.  Below this text, insert a photo of the user using the “Insert Image” button. Once this image is inserted, select it and click the right align button in the toolbar.

If you want your company logo to be right aligned go back to the top, select it and click the right align button. For this example, the company logo is right aligned.
