Locating ground mounts made easier – enter lat/lng

We made an improvement to the ModSolar Platform yesterday to make it easier for those of you using the Platform to quote ground mounted systems. If the property on which you want to place a ground-mounted PV system doesn’t have an address, you can still locate it and quote it on the Platform if you know the latitude & longitude.

On the Name/Address/Usage page, instead of entering an address with a street number and street name, you can now enter the lat/lng of the property on which you want to place a ground-mounted PV system:

In the ADDRESS field, enter latitude and longitude in the following format:

lat: ##### , lng: #####

where each ##### is a number, possibly with a decimal point and possible with digits after the decimal point, and possibly with a + or – in front, depending on the position on the globe..

The “lat” and “lng” can be uppercase, lowercase, or mixed. You can have spaces before and after the numbers; they don’t matter. But there can’t be any other words or characters in the field; it needs to just be a lat and a lng, with the lat: and lng: labels, and a comma in between them.

Another small change to make the fastest proposal generator in the solar industry even more powerful. Of course we’re always here for you should you have any questions, please just contact us.
