Great article here:
From Green Tech Media reporting on a new study by the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) about the economic impact of the state's policies in supporting solar, efficiency and other green jobs in MA.
The numbers are staggering about the employment growth in green jobs in the last three years. This chart was particularly compelling:
This is a great example of how effective policies can really add to the bottom line of a state's employment growth. Contrast this with what New Jersey has experienced in the last 18 months as the Christie administration, until recently, wasn't supportive of solar policies. And of course this brings us to Pennsylvania (our home state), which recently has an abysmal record of being supportive of solar, with Marcellus Shale natural gas interests winning out.
All you PA state reps & senators looking for an engine of job growth - look no further, learn from Massachusetts. A little bit of support goes a long way in the green sector!
