Now you can get a free "widget" for your website. The widget is a window that can be embedded on any page on your website, containing a form to be filled out by visitors who are interested in a solar system.
When they fill out the form (which asks them for their name, address, telephone number, email address, current usage, and utility), a Google Earth satellite image of their house appears. They are asked to move the image so it is centered on their house, but they are not given tools to draw an array (that part will be up to you). After they leave the widget, they will receive a "thank you" email and you will find that a new lead (highlighted in green) has been created on your MyLeads page on the MODsolar Platform.
Here's how the widget will appear on your website:
Setting up the widget is easy. In the Widget Settings screen of your MODsolar administrator login, you enter the text of the "thank you" email and specify which of your users the leads should be assigned to. There is a small amount of HTML code that needs to be copied from the Widget Settings screen and added to your website by whoever manages it. Then the widget will appear, and you’re ready to start collecting leads—but it’s up to you to get visitors to come to your site.
